How to take Tokyo Monorail from Haneda airport
4/20/2016
Now you just arrived at Haneda airport!
Welcome to Tokyo! But you still need to take some vehicles to get to your accommodations to sleep. I will briefly explain how to take Tokyo monorail to go to Hamamatsucho which is connected to Yamanote loop line. The trains of Tokyo monorail have good spaces for luggages, and guide announcement with foreign language is available.
TOKYO MONORAIL
Step 1
Find the Tokyo monorail.
The entrance of Tokyo monorail is on the same floor of your arrival gate. Please go straight with the information/bus tickets counter on your left.
<bus tickets counter on your left>
You will find an entrance gate of Tokyo monorail on your left.
Step 2
Buy the tickets or Suica. You will find vending machines for tickets/Suica located next to the entrance gate.
There was a guide person by the gate this day. If there is nobody to ask questions, there are station staffs in the staff room by the gate too.
Step 3
Get on the monorail.
Please pass the entrance gate of Tokyo monorail. If you bought a train ticket, please insert it to the gate machine. If you bought Suica, please touch the IC panel with your Suica. By the way, you can buy Monorail Suica card there, which has different illustration on it compared to JR East Suica card.
After you pass the gate, please proceed to right hand side toward a platform No.2
,and go upstairs. There is a lift to go up too.
Platform No.2.
You can see the ocean and nice view if you walk to the end of platform.
There are express and non-express trains. But you can take any trains to go to Hamamatsucho station which is connected to Yamanote loop line. I think this is easy way to go to center of Tokyo, especially for tourists. It takes about 14 minutes from Haneda airport international terminal station to JR Hamamatsucho station, and fare is 490 yen for an adult.
